A traditionally built fishermans cottage, 'Old School Cottage' is located overlooking Portsoy Bay with stunning views! 

The historic 'Old  Harbour' , just a short stroll away, has a local coffe shop, Portsoy Marble where local crafts can be purchased, plus our local potter, Brian, who provides the shop with bespoke designs, The Shore in Pub, plus a famous wet fish shop where you can buy your supper fresh from the sea!

The cottage has superb views over the Moray Firth from both the lounge and bedrooms.  There is direct access to the beach from the cottage via a footpath opposite the cottage which also leads to a small childrens play area with swings etc. The fabulous 17th Century old harbour is also a short walking distance away where you can sit outside the 'Shore Inn' for a cold beer or inside by the log burner in chillier months.

'Old School Cottage has two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, both with sea views. The cottage has been fully renovated and re-decorated for the 2008 season with  a brand new kitchen diner and bathroom, newly fitted central heating system, plus a cosy lounge with a working wood burning stove, for those chillier evenings, whilst enjoying a dram or two listening to the sea. The lounge also has fabulous sea views with Freeview channel TV , Mini Hi-Fi and DVD for our guests use.  The whole cottage has a versatile cosy/ period/ shabby chic  feel to it and is ideal for couples or families. The local shops, banks, restaurants and pubs are all in short and easy walking distance and there is off road parking directly outside. The cottage is available for long term and short term lets, subject to availablility. Early booking is recommended due to the popularity of the location.

Portsoy is known as the prettiest harbour along this stretch of coastline and offers central accomodation for exploring all the highlands has to offer.
